True Anomaly has raised another $260 million in a Series C funding round. The aim of this funding will be to accelerate its next phase of growth, vertical integration, facility expansion, product development and implementation. The company announced the new funding round on April 30.

Accel led the round, with participation from Meritech Capital and existing investors Eclipse, Riot Ventures, Menlo Ventures, 645 Ventures, ACME Capital, Space VC, Champion Hill Ventures, and Narya. Debt capital is being provided by Stifel Bank.

True Anomaly’s mission is to design and build autonomous systems to deter conflict and protect space and the company is fielding space defense products.

True Anomaly has already made impressive progress. It has already built and launched Jackal, its multi-role spacecraft, for operations in LEO, and announced plans to fly in GEO, and cislunar space, utilizing a common platform across all orbits. It has designed and fielded Mosaic, its software system for customer operations and on-orbit flight tests with Jackal. It has also flown two “Mission X” orbital flight tests.

With the Series C funding, over the next 18 months, the company will look to launch its third orbital flight test to LEO as part of its company-funded Mission X flight test program. Secondly, Jackal and Mosaic will be deployed on their first independent missions to GEO and cislunar space in 2026. True Anomaly will also provide the spacecraft for the upcoming VICTUS HAZE Space Force mission.

In terms of new products, True Anomaly is looking to develop a new solution for its customers that will serve as an extension from the Jackal family and offer “unparalleled responsiveness to on-orbit threats from LEO to GEO and beyond.”
