Global multi-band in-flight connectivity provider Gogo is joining the Space Information Sharing and Analysis Center (Space ISAC), a non-profit organization that shares cybersecurity information and resources with the public and private space sectors.
Space ISAC announced Gogo’s membership on Tuesday, stating that the objective of Gogo’s participation is to accelerate cross-sector collaboration and bolster resilience in space and aviation systems. Erin Miller, executive director of Space ISAC, said that Gogo joining Space ISAC creates a united front against threats to space-based and space-enabled systems while encouraging innovation and knowledge sharing between critical industry leaders.
“[Gogo’s] leadership in aviation connectivity and their technical depth will be invaluable assets to our mission of securing the global space infrastructure. We look forward to the insights and innovations they’ll bring to our collaborative efforts,” said Miller.
“Gogo considers it a key responsibility to ensure cyber vigilance from every angle to keep our customer data secure, which is why we chose to join ISAC. Its mission to identify vulnerabilities in, generate knowledge about, and safeguard the space ecosystem match ours,” added Gogo CIO Jeff Keller. “Space is critical to consistent, successful global commerce, communications, and national security. Our membership positions us alongside trusted, security-conscious partners, and we look forward to collaborating to future-proof tomorrow’s dynamic space-dependent economy.”
