Axess Networks Signs Mining Connectivity Deal with SES

Axess Networks signed a multi multi-year, multi-million agreement to serve its mining sector users with SES’s smart mining service via O3b mPOWER. 

SES’s smart mining service — Onshore Energy & Mining mPOWERED — is designed to provide high-throughput, carrier-grade networks to customers even in remote locations. The agreement builds on long standing partnership with SES, facilitating a transition to smart mining with SES’s current network. 

“As we are seeing a considerable uptake in demand for the carrier-grade solutions globally, but especially in the EMEA and APAC region, we are honored to play an active role in scaling the digital transition in the mining sector through introducing O3b mPOWER and the Onshore Energy & Mining mPOWERED service,” commented Guido Neumann, President of Axess EMEA.

Teleport operator and satellite services provider Axess Networks is currently going through a deal to be acquired by Spanish satellite operator Hispasat, announced in March.
