[Satellite TODAY 06-21-13] Geolink Satellite Services, part of CETel Group, has signed a multi-year transponder contract with Arabsat on its 5A satellite, located at 30 degrees 5 east.

 

     Geolink will use the additional capacity to expand its VSAT satellite networks and to serve the growing demand in the African market. With more than 4,000 active terminals worldwide, a teleport facility in Germany and a network operations center in Paris, Geolink provides satellite communication on C-, Ku-, L- and Ka-bands.

 

      “We view this contract as a continuation of a decade old successful partnership with CETel and CETel Group,” Khalid Balkeyour, president & CEO, Arabsat, said in a written statement.
