[Satellite TODAY 12-15-11] Nevion Chairman Per Otto Dyb appointed technology and business development veteran Geir Bryn-Jensen as the company’s new CEO, Nevion confirmed Dec. 14.

   Bryn-Jensen joined Nevion in 2010 and previously served as the company’s executive vice president of sales and marketing. Bryn-Jensen also spent six years with Telenor’s media and broadcast business, where he held various business development roles in Europe and Asia.

   Bryn-Jensen will lead the advancement of Nevion’s next-generation technologies for broadcast applications and manage video services for all types of customer networks. In a statement, Dyb said the leadership change was part of Nevion’s strategy to maintain its position in broadcast markets and claim a leadership position in the emerging video service management markets.
