[Satellite TODAY 03-22-11] US Signal is expanding its network by adding on/off-ramps to its Midwest footprint in Iowa, Wisconsin and Minnesota, the data bandwidth capacity supplier announced March 21.
The added access points aim to increase US Signal’s network reach and provide fiber, copper and switched Ethernet network access options. The expansion will increase US Signal’s footprint to more than 9,000 route miles of long-haul fiber and more than 1,100 miles of fiber-optic metro rings in 24 markets.
US Signal Vice President of Engineering Trevor Bidle said that increasing the company’s market density was critical to its strategy to connect growing small- and medium-size markets to larger cities.
