[Satellite TODAY 02-25-11] NewSat’s Jabiru satellite program and core services business helped the provider generate a 26 percent increase in 2011 half-year revenues to $15 million compared to the same period in 2010, the company reported in its latest financial results issued Feb. 24.
In a statement, NewSat CEO Adrian Ballintine said the Jabiru program, which he hopes will transform the company into an integrated global satellite operator, helped improve the company’s future position by establishing long-term contracts.
Ballintine added that the company also enjoyed profits during the 2011 first half-year from contract wins in military and government markets following the strong performance demonstration of its 1H11 core service offering.
