[Satellite TODAY 01-17-10] A $3 million restructuring charge cut into Com Dev profits in the 2010 fourth quarter, causing the Canadian satellite company to post $1.9 million in losses compared to $900,000 in net income in the previous year, Com Dev announced in its latest financial results, issued Jan. 14.
    Com Dev’s fourth quarter revenues fell to $51 million from $58 million during the same period in 2009, however, the company saw its order intake rise to $80 million from $67 million last year.
    Com Dev CEO Mike Pley said the company was disappointed by its 2010 performance but expects to see its bottom line improve in 2011. “We currently expect 2011 revenues to be relatively flat compared to 2010, but improved margin and operating expense performance should enable us to show significant bottom line improvement over the year,” Pley said in a statement.
