[Satellite TODAY 12-09-10] GeoEye has agreed to purchase 100 percent of the stock of Spadac Inc., a geospatial predictive analytics company, for $46 million in cash and stock, GeoEye announced Dec. 8.
Spadac provides geospatial predictive analytic solutions to more than 40 customers in the defense, intelligence and homeland security markets. Spadac’s revenues are forecasted to be about $27 million in 2010.
GeoEye has held a minority stake in Spadac since 2007. Upon the completion of the acquisition, expected before the end of the year, Spadac will become a wholly owned subsidiary and renamed GeoEye Analytics.
