[Satellite TODAY 11-17-10] Hughes do Brasil, the Brazilian operating unit of Hughes Network Systems, signed a contract with PrimeNet to be a reseller of Hughes broadband satellite Internet access service in Brazil, Hughes announced Nov. 16.
    Under a contract valued at more than $13 million over 60 months, PrimeNet will resell Hughes high-speed satellite Internet access service to small- and medium-sized businesses throughout the Brazilian territory, focusing on the center-west, north and northeast regions.
    PrimeNet is one of Brazil’s top value-added resellers of satellite services and anticipates activating 1,000 new business customer sites by March, Hughes said.
