[Satellite TODAY 04-15-10] SES World Skies has signed a long-term, multi-transponder deal with Puerto Rico Telephone, which aims to bring DTH services to Puerto Rico, the company announced April 13.
Puerto Rico Telephone, a subsidiary of América Móvil, will use five Ku-band transponders aboard SES World Skies’ AMC-21 satellite to deliver its Claro TV premium DTH television offering to customers.
The new television offering, which features over 130 SD and HD channels in Spanish and English, will be an add-on service to Puerto Rico Telephone’s broadband, wireless and landline phone services.
