[Satellite TODAY 12-22-09] SES has secured an export credit funding facility worth about 523 million euros ($749.5 million) from Coface, France’s export credit agency, SES announced Dec. 21.
    SES said it has arranged the facility to finance four new satellites — Astra 2E, Astra A 2F, Astra 2G and Astra 5B. SES signed a contract with Astrium in late November to build the satellites.
    The facility has been arranged by BNP Paribas and Société Générale as mandated lead arrangers and ING Belgium SA as arranger. The whole facility is guaranteed by Coface and will mature in 2022.
