[Satellite TODAY 12-09-09] International Datacasting Corp.’s (IDC) 2010 third quarter revenues dipped to $5.4 million from the $7.6 million it reported during the same period last year, according to the company’s financial reports, released Dec. 8.
To date, the company has reported $15.4 million in total revenue for its 2010 financial year. IDC generated $21.3 million by the end of its 2009 third quarter.
CEO Ron Clifton said the drop reflects costs associated with its $2 million acquisition of Tiernan broadcast product lines from Comtech in August and its $600,000 purchase of select technology products from Logic Innovations in December.
“Our acquisition of the Tiernan product lines in the quarter was a significant step in further growing the company and enhancing our competitive position in the expanding broadcast video market. … During the quarter, we successfully integrated our regional sales, customer service and marketing teams, and we also consolidated our manufacturing operations, strengthening our overall organizational infrastructure. We have bid on numerous Tiernan product-related projects and won several new contracts in the quarter,” Clifton said in a statement.
