[Satellite TODAY 11-11-09] Comtech EF Data won a $1.6 million order for satellite communications equipment from a mobile operator in Asia, Comtech announced Nov. 10
The unnamed operator will use Comtech EF Data’s CDM-600 satellite modems and redundancy switches as well as the CX-U Series platform from Comtech subsidiary Memotec to support satellite-based cellular backhaul service expansion.
Memotec’s CX-U Series backhaul platform aims to reduce the amount of bandwidth required to backhaul cellular traffic and to provide users with the ability to avoid forklift network upgrades.
