[Satellite TODAY 09-22-09] Paradise Datacom has released FastLink, a low-latency low density parity check (LDPC) feature now available in its entire line of satellite modem products, the company announced Sept. 21.
    FastLink combines implementations of 8QAM and low latency LDPC, rendering its older LDPC versions obsolete.
    FastLink LDPC is available as a combined hardware add-on and software activated feature option. Paradise Datacom said it is currently developing an adaptive coding and modulation option for the product to be released later this year.
