[Satellite TODAY 09-15-09] SAT Corp., a wholly owned subsidiary of Integral Systems, has been chosen to provide its Monics system to Singapore Telecommunications Ltd. (SingTel) for satellite monitoring, interference detection, and satellite operator planning capability, Integral Systems announced Sept. 14.
Monics systems aim to provide automatic monitoring of SingTel’s carriers using SAT Corp.’s Digital Signal Processing (DSP) technology. The systems run off of algorithms, which automatically detect, characterize, and display interfering signals, and allow results to be viewed at any time.
SAT Corp. will install the systems at SingTel’s Seletar satellite Earth station with the ability to be expanded to multiple remote monitoring sites to monitor and detect interference and/or unauthorized users of the company’s system payloads.
