[Satellite Today 07-14-09] Serbia Broadband signed a long-term capacity deal with Eutelsat Communications for two transponders at Eutelsat’s 16 degrees East video neighborhood, Serbia Broadband announced July 13.
    As part of the agreement, the companies also signed long-term contract extensions for two Eutelsat transponders used to broadcast Total TV for central European digital TV markets since 2006. The additional capacity will be used to support a number of new channels in all of Total TV’s markets.
    “In a very short time Total TV has become the leading [direct-to-home] platform in the Adriatic region, covering five countries, with an additional country to be added shortly. Aggressive organic growth of the business is based on superior content combined with the best technology. From the very beginning, Eutelsat has been one of the cornerstones of our success, and I am happy to see it will remain so in the future,” SBB CEO Dragan Solak said in a statement.
