[Satellite Today 04-06-09] Antenna Technology Communications Inc. (ATCi) and SES New Skies have installed an advanced cellular and Internet communications satellite system for Ninetel Telecommunications, a broadband telephone services provider, the companies announced April 3.
    SES and ATCi provided turn-key design, integration, installation and testing to the project and said the new system allows Ninetel to continue its role as a telecommunication competitor in the five northern states of Brazil — Amazonas, Para, Rondonia, Roraima and Amapa.
    Prior to the installation of the new satellite communications system, the provinces had only two operators, Embratel and Oi.
