[Satellite Today 02-25-09] Intelsat selected NetCracker Technology software and services to improve the automation of Intelsat’s service delivery processes, the satellite operator announced Feb. 24.
    The contract expands NetCracker’s footprint beyond mobile, fixed and cable into the satellite and entertainment market segments.
    Intelsat also purchased NetCracker’s resource inventory, discovery and reconciliation, service provisioning and activation modules, service inventory, and other related professional services. The company said the project aims to automate its current fulfillment and provisioning protocols, centralize disparate management systems, streamline operations and act as a key component in Intelsat’s continuing drive toward proactive service assurance.
    NetCracker also will provide workflow management functionality for Intelsat’s fulfillment processes.
