[Satellite Today 01-29-09] BSkyB now has more than 9.2 million DTH customers in the United Kingdom and Ireland, with more than 50 percent of its subscriber base now taking either its HD service, Sky+HD, or its personal video recorder service, Sky+, the company announced Jan. 28.
For the fourth quarter, BSkyB had net subscriber growth of 171,000 in the U.K. mature pay-TV market.
The company also now has close to 2 million broadband subscribers. In the telephony market, it now has 1.5 million Sky Talk customers.
