[Satellite Today 12-12-08] TC Communications, an Australian reseller, signed a three-year wholesale agreement with Optus to sell the Optus Thuraya satellite range of handsets through its Sydney and West Australian offices, Thuraya announced Dec. 12.
TC Communications will sell the Thuraya 2510 satellite only handset and the dual-band satellite/GSM handset Thuraya 2520.
This is the second Australian deal for Thuraya this week. On Dec. 10, Marlec Pty, an Australian satellite specialist company, signed a three-year wholesale agreement with Optus to sell the SG2520 handset.
