[Satellite Today 10-17-08] Talia is expanding its iDirect Evolution (DVB-S2) services to sub-Saharan Africa, Talia announced Oct. 16.
Talia, a provider of Internet and voice services for the Middle East, Europe, and Africa, will offer the services through Arabsat’s BADR-6 satellite.
“We have waited some time so that we could enter the African market with the best combination of technology and coverage,” Alan Afrasiab, Talia’s CEO, said in a statement. “iDirect Evolution, when combined with Arabsat BADR-6, gives us exceptional tools to bring out an exceptional service.”
