[Satellite Today 09-04-08] Karl Classen, president and CEO of ND SatCom, will resign, the company announced Sept. 4.
Padraig McCarthy, CFO of ND Satcom’s parent company, SES Astra, will serve as president and CEO of ND Satcom on an interim basis.
Classen had served as president of ND SatCom since July 2000. “Karl Classen has played an important role in the foundation and development of ND SatCom,” Ferdinand Kayser, president and CEO of SES Astra and chairman of ND SatCom, said in a statement. “He was instrumental to the expansion of ND SatCom into an international business with a significant presence in Europe, the Middle East, Asia and the United States.”
