BeetleSat Names Patricio Northland as New CEO

By Rachel Jewett | March 21, 2023

BeetleSat, formerly NSLComm, recently named Patricio Northland as its new CEO. Northland has more than 20 years of experience in the satellite and telecommunications industries and previously was CEO of Eutelsat Americas, CEO of Satmex, and CEO of AT&T Latin America.

As CEO of Eutelsat Americas, Northland led the company’s market entry and business in the region after architecting a successful merger with his prior company Satmex.

BeetleSat’s proprietary technology is a high data rate expandable antenna for nanosatellites. The company recently deployed the 60 cm antenna from a 6U cubesat, validating the technology. The company, based in Tel Aviv, Israel, now plans to build a global Low-Earth Orbit (LEO) constellation optimized for premium point-to-point communications.

“I am honored to take on the role of CEO and to advance our mission to become the world’s first LEO constellation operator focused on delivering premium global satellite communications to broadband carriers and service providers,” said Northland. “BeetleSat is leading a paradigm shift in satellite communications that not only allows us to deliver premium service at a fraction of the cost of traditional systems, but also to create new service categories and applications.”
