[Via Satellite 08-18-2014] ITC Global, a satellite communications provider for maritime, oil and gas and mining sectors, has extended its contract with Australian satellite operator Optus. ITC Global will use a 16-meter C-band satellite antenna in order to reach remote, often-isolated locations.

The two-year agreement provides additional capacity, equipment hosting, uplinking and downloading services through Optus’ Lockridge-based satellite facility, located just north of Perth. The gateway provides access to Australia and adjacent western regions, areas around the Indian Ocean and into Europe.
