Gilat Satellite Networks reports recent contract wins totalling $38 million for its SkyEdge system and connectivity projects in Peru.
Wednesday, Gilat announced $10 million in orders from an unnamed satellite operator for its SkyEdge IV platform, with deliveries scheduled over the next 12 months. The deployment will support high-capacity satellite networks serving a range of applications, including in-flight connectivity (IFC).
Separately, Gilat secured a $28 million contract in Peru, expanding its connectivity work with Pronatel, Peru’s national telecommunications program. Under this contract, Gilat will upgrade connectivity infrastructure in the Ica region, located south of Lima on Peru’s western coast.
Construction is expected to be completed by mid-year 2027, followed by a seven-year operational phase. Gilat said this work will upgrade networks for 116 public institutions across the Ica region and provide free Wi-Fi access in 30 public squares.
Gilat has years of experience working with the Peruvian government on connectivity initiatives including a $60 million Pronatel award last year and an award from the regional government of Ayacucho this past August.
