[Via Satellite 06-04-2014] API Technologies introduced a new line of radiation-hardened (rad-hard) power conversion and control products for extreme temperature ranges and radiation exposure. This new line of products includes linear voltage regulators with adjustable or fixed output voltage options, point-of-load (switching) regulators and solid state relays (SSRs) that include radiation-hardened single pole, double throw (SPDT) SSRs.

The new line features products with radiation hardness assurance up to 300 kRAD Total Ionizing Dose (TID) in hermetically sealed packaging and operating in temperature ranges between negative 131 degrees and 257 degrees Fahrenheit. These products are optimized for use in military and space applications such as communication satellites, deep space, launch and reentry vehicles, communications modules, scientific missions and many others.

API operates two facilities certified to MIL-PRF-38534 Class K, a high reliability standard for hybrid microcircuits.
