MapBox, a company that allows anyone to design and publish custom maps, plans to launch MapBox Satellite Live. The new service will provide instant access to timely satellite imagery from anywhere in the world, directly though MapBox.com.
 
The goal is to have images from all over the globe available just six hours after they’re attained. The six-hour gap is nearly real-time, making it easy to publish in minutes. Subscribers who have MapBox Satellite Live directly as part of their MapBox.com account will have instant scale for millions of viewers.
