Kratos Defense and Security Solutions’ Satcom business unit has been awarded $6 million in contracts to provide satellite communications products, satellite ground systems, network infrastructure products and on-going services to unnamed government customers, the company announced Aug. 20.
The contract awards include specialized value added services to the military, government and intelligence communities. Kratos will deploy a number of its CFK 7700 WAN gateways to deliver converged IP solutions for demanding environments. The company also will ship multiple orders of its 25-Watt Ku-band Block Upconverter (BUC) and Solid State Power Amplifier (SSPA).
Kratos also received multiple delivery orders for its 117MT maritime terminals to provide Ku-band ocean-going communications for Single Channel per Carrier (SCPC) or on-demand networks, as well as airtime service contracts to state and federal agencies.
Kratos said the new contracts were a result of its acquisition of Integral Systems, which closed in late July.
