[11-06-07 – Satellite Today] CVG Inc. will provide a satellite-based broadband communications solution for the U.S. Coast Guard, CVG announced Nov. 6.
CVG will install a pair of Ku-band stabilized VSAT systems on Coast Guard vessels — one on each coast. The service will enable coverage to about 75 nautical miles offshore.
The contract was awarded under CVG’s contract with the U.S. General Services Administration’s Satellite Services-2 program.
