ETL Systems has acquired Amphinicy Technologies, which develops software for satcom and Earth Observation markets, in a move the company said will help solve more complex ground segment challenges for its customers. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Amphinicy’s software portfolio includes modern monitoring and control system Monica and a wideband software modem called Blink used by industry leaders across the EO and satcom sectors. ETL said that Amphinicy will continue to operate its software business autonomously within the ETL Systems group, maintaining a vendor-agnostic approach.
The company is developing ViSAGE, a virtualized 5G-non-terrestrial network (NTN) gateway-as-a-service platform. ETL said the acquisition will accelerate the transition towards digital, software-defined and virtualized satellite networks.
“The satcom market is changing rapidly. Our customers increasingly expect partners who can deliver complete solutions that combine proven RF [radio frequency] performance with digital capabilities. Bringing Amphinicy on board represents an important milestone in that journey for us,” ETL CEO Kevin Dunne said.
Amphinicy is headquartered in Zagreb, Croatia, and has an office in Luxembourg. The company’s existing leadership will continue after the acquisition.
ETL Systems has made a number of acquisitions in recent years including U.K.-based amplifier supplier SpacePath Communications in 2024 and Canadian satcom component company IRT Technologies in 2025.
