The Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) plans to reach a launch cadence of 18 liftoffs per year by 2018 or 2019, according to officials. To accelerate launch operations, the agency intends to outsource to more companies in the Indian space industry, including the possibility of building a Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV) with industry partners.
