Aerospace and defense engineering firm Boecore has acquired space software company Orbit Logic. Boecore said this acquisition will strengthen its software development and specialized mission operations capabilities and bring new products to its customers. Boecore announced the deal Feb. 13. Terms of the sale were not disclosed.

Boecore is based in Colorado Springs, Colorado, and provides technology solutions for space, missile defense, hypersonics, and strategic deterrent mission areas. The company is owned by Enlightenment Capital, which acquired Boecore in January 2022. Boecore then acquired space and satcom engineering firm Ascension Engineering Group (AEG) in October 2022.

Orbit Logic specializes in mission planning, scheduling, and space situational awareness software. The company recently received a subcontract from Earth Resources Technology to enhance and improve mission planning and scheduling software for NOAA’s Joint Polar Satellite System (JPSS) satellites, and Satellite Vu selected Orbit Logic’s planning software for its thermal imaging constellation.

According to the press release, Boecore is acquiring the company’s product suite and team of software developers and engineers.

“This partnership with Orbit Logic helps Boecore expand our product and technical capabilities, and it broadens our relationships and mission expertise within the space domain,” said Tom Dickson, president of Boecore. “The Orbit Logic team has built an outstanding business and has a proven ability to develop and deliver advanced software products to its space customers.”
