Astroscale Hires Andrew Faiola for Key UK And European Role
Astroscale has appointed Andrew Faiola as its new commercial director for its U.K. and European subsidiary Astroscale Ltd, the company announced Jan. 24. He starts the role immediately. Headquartered in Japan, Astroscale has subsidiaries in the United Kingdom, the United States, Israel, and Singapore.
Faiola has been in the industry over 20 years and worked for companies such as All.Space, ST Engineering iDirect, Newtec, Intelsat, SES, and Esatel Communications. In his new role, Faiola will be responsible for leading Astroscale Ltd.’s commercial sales, business development and marketing activities as the company aims towards making in-orbit servicing, including debris removal, routine by 2030.
“With his broad commercial experience and understanding of the challenges satellite operators face across all orbits, he brings a unique perspective to the cutting-edge solutions we are developing for the in-orbit servicing, satellite end-of-life services and the active debris removal markets,” Nick Shave, Astroscale Ltd. managing director, said in a statement.
