Eutelsat Hires Juan Pablo Cofino from Intelsat as Americas CEO

Juan Pablo Cofino is the new regional vice president, CEO of Eutelsat Americas, Eutelsat announced March 11. This is a significant appointment for the company. Cofino had been regional vice president, LATAM & Caribbean at Intelsat, and now joins to help Eutelsat boost its position in the Americas. Cofino replaces Mike Antonovich who has decided to continue his professional career outside of Eutelsat.

Cofino has also previously occupied senior international executive positions at leading companies in the Americas region, including ATN International, Tigo (Millicom Group) and Agreca (Grupo Progreso).

“Juan’s wealth of industry experience will be a true asset for us within these markets, which encompass well-established media, mobility and data companies, as well as new business ventures who place satellite resources at the center of their growth strategies,” Philippe Oliva, Eutelsat’s chief commercial officer said in a statement.
