GomSpace Group AB subsidiary GomSpace A/S signed a contract to provide a multi-nanosatellite system to startup Kleos Space. The value of the contract is approximately 2.42 million euros ($2.83 million), and the delivery of the multi-nanosatellite system is expected to take place in the second quarter of 2019.

Kleos aims to guard borders and protect assets by delivering global activity-based intelligence and geolocation services. Kleos Scouting Mission (KSM), Kleos’ first satellite system, will perform a technology demonstration for a later global high-capacity constellation. The Scouting Mission will deliver targeted daily services with the full constellation delivering near real-time global observation.

“Kleos is a fantastic example of the revolution that is taking place in New Space. We are happy to see the perfect match between our technology roadmap and the services that Kleos will provide,” GomSpace Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Niels Buus said in the release.
