Northrop Grumman hired Nick Chaffey as chief executive for the United Kingdom and Europe, effective Aug. 28, 2018. He will play a large role supporting the company’s current programs, developing strategies for growth, and identifying new business opportunities for the company’s activities in the U.K. and Europe, including countries in The North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO).

Chaffey joins Northrop Grumman after a 25-year career at PA Consulting Group, where he was the founder and lead for PA’s Global Defense and Security Business, previously the Global Head of Consulting Services, and a member of the Board of PA Holdings Limited. Prior to that, he spent six years in the Royal Corps of Naval Constructors at the U.K. Ministry of Defense.

Chaffey earned a bachelor’s degree in electronic and optoelectronic engineering from University College London and a master’s degree from Imperial College Business School, specializing in strategic program design and delivery.
