AsiaSat’s Fred Ho, Fred Vong Receive Senior Executive Promotions

Asia Satellite Telecommunications Company (AsiaSat) has announced the promotions of two senior executives to lead the company’s two key technical teams. Fred Ho, director of technical operations, has been promoted to vice president of technical operations. Ho has more than 25 years’ experience in the satellite communications industry. In his new role, Ho will lead the technical operations team with responsibility for overseeing the operations of the company’s satellite fleet and Earth stations, teleport and customer network services.

Fred Vong, director of engineering, has been promoted to vice president of engineering. Vong has more than 20 years of satellite and telecommunications service experience. In his expanded role, Vong will lead the engineering team in supporting customer activities, from network design to implementation, developing spacecraft programs, managing spectrum resources of the company and working with other departments to assess and crystallize opportunity from new technologies.
