Companies Debut New Brand Identities at SATELLITE

Three satellite companies debuted brand refreshes at SATELLITE 2024: Gilat Satellite Networks, ManSat (now River Advisers), and Aldoria (formerly Share My Space).

Gilat kept its name but overhauled its image after 35 years, shifting its mission around the “right of all people to be connected.” The slogan “Boundless Communications” reflects a pivot away from hardware-dependent technologies toward multi-orbit solutions, VHTS, and 5G NTN. Marketing director Yael Maman said Gilat wanted to be “future ready.”

ManSat rebranded as River Advisers to “step outside of traditional, satellite-centered names.” CEO Katherine Gizinski said the new name was inspired by the nature of a river — “adaptable, powerful, but also calm and in control.” The company provides spectrum regulation, market access, and consulting services, and plans to add complementary capabilities as the industry evolves.

Aldoria changed from Share My Space after raising 10 million euros in a Series A, specifically to make it easier to address the U.S. market. VP Mylène Bosio explained the name merges ‘aldo’ (Latin for altitude/sky) and ‘or’ (French for gold): “It’s the gold of the sky with the orbit.” Aldoria plans to expand from six to eight or nine optical ground telescopes this year and aims to triple revenue within a year.
