LeoLabs (2018 winner) — completed Series A funding and rolled out its Kiwi Space Radar, the third in its global network and the first to detect small debris threatening satellites in LEO. CEO Daniel Ceperley says: “LEO is getting crowded and a new generation of tracking infrastructure is required to manage it. There are thousands of new satellites heading to LEO, thousands of derelict satellites already there, and hundreds of thousands of pieces of small debris not tracked today.”

TimeTag.Space (2019 winner) — aims to bring time tagging and timing in space to the next level with picosecond precision. COO Pavel Razmajev says ESA recommends all consortiums with space LiDAR and altimetry missions contact them. The company is developing its own ASIC chip and building a timing module for an ESA asteroid study mission.

Orbit Fab (2019 winner) — building in-orbit propellant supply chain to allow satellites to extend operational lifespan. CEO Daniel Faber says: “No longer restricted by a finite amount of fuel, new business models are enabled across the industry, including mission extension, deorbit tugs, and satellite transportation services.” The company launched its RAFTI port, securing six design wins and five fuel port sales.
