Focus on Defense

In Partnership With:

We’re back with the second edition of Focus on Defense, a new bi-weekly newsletter from Via Satellite with the highlights in satcom and space technologies for defense missions, contract awards, and global security trends.

This week, Space Systems Command awarded five initial contracts for Protected Tactical Satcom-Global (PTS-G) satellites in GEO. The five companies will provide demonstrations based on their commercial product lines in a firm fixed-price contract, which will inform future production orders.

And in interesting new capabilities, Slingshot Aerospace has debuted a new AI agent that can replicate tactics like space warfare maneuvers and dogfighting strategies for training and simulation environments.
