Meet the 2022 Startup Space Pitch Contest Competitors

Nine startup entrepreneurs will take the stage in SATELLITE’s Exhibit Hall theater on Tuesday, March 22 to pitch for private meetings with investors from Starbridge Venture Capital, Space Fund, MaC Venture Capital, Toyota Ventures, DCVC, MoonshotX, and Seraphim Capital. The competition was produced with Rafferty Jackson of Jack Industries.

Scout (CEO Eric Ingram) — Developing SCOUT-Vision, a payload system to give spacecraft the “eyes” to navigate and avoid threats. First system launched June 2021 and currently operating.

AV SpaceTech (CEO Adisesh Yeragudi) — Building the Xe-1, a modular ion space propulsion engine. Yeragudi is Startup Space’s youngest-ever competitor and won the highest score at SATELLITE 2021.

Aquarian Space (CEO Kelly Larson) — Developing SOLNET, a satellite relay network for high-volume uninterrupted data from the Moon, Mars, and for space situational awareness.

Tensor Tech (CEO Thomas Yen) — Taiwan-based, minimizing satellite attitude determination and control systems via spherical motor technology that replaces traditional systems at one-third the weight, volume, and power.

OrbitsEdge (CTO Rick Ward) — Space-based edge computing and storage for government and national security, using AI, deduplication, compression, and encryption at the data source.

ReOrbit (CEO Sethu Saveda Suvanam) — Scandinavian startup developing reusable, modular satellite platforms with built-in autonomous orbital capabilities and software-defined architecture.

Vyoma Space (Co-Founder Dr. Luisa Buinhas) — German startup automating space object and satellite operations with intelligent algorithms that process images, assess space traffic, and plan avoidance maneuvers.

GeoJump (CTO Isa Fritz) — Offering satellite operators a new route to geostationary orbit via lunar flyby trajectory using Spaceflight’s Sherpa-ES OTV, targeting first payload launch Q4 2022.

Rogue Space Systems (CEO Jeromy Grimmett) — Designing “Orbots” — orbital robots — to inspect, monitor, and move satellites using high-definition cameras and sensors. VS
