      Arianespace Wins Multi-Launch Deal with ISRO

      The Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) has selected Arianespace to launch its GSAT 7 and INSAT 3D satellites in the second quarter of 2013 as part of a contract that also includes two more launch options. Arianespace will launch both GSAT 7 and INSAT-3D satellites aboard Ariane 5 rockets from the Guiana Space Center in Kourou, French Guiana.

      Inmarsat Launches IsatPhone Pro Humanitarian Aid Service Bundle

      Inmarsat has launched a new IsatPhone Pro humanitarian aid package that aims to provide NGOs with a total of 3,000 minutes per month that can be shared between three SIMs.

      Inmarsat is also extending the offer to its BGAN Link broadband service launched earlier this year. The service allows NGOs working on location to take advantage of a high-volume usage broadband service for a fixed monthly price for sustained periods of time.

      Quake, SkyWave Enter Russian M2M Market

      Asset-tracking satellite modem manufacturer Quake Global and SkyWave Mobile Communications have introduced a Q-Pro M2M modem solution designed to operate on the Russian Federation’s Inmarsat satellite network.

      SkyWave was recently awarded regulatory authorization to distribute the IsatData Pro services in Russia. Quake’s Q-Pro aims to allow heavy equipment owners to track the location of their equipment, record usage, monitor common CAN messages, and determine the need for, and provision of, routine maintenance.
