Orbcomm Gains LJ Rogers Trucking Contract

[Via Satellite 08-25-2016] Orbcomm has received a contract from L.J. Rogers Trucking to provide an asset tracking solution for its dry van trailer fleet. L.J. Rogers focuses on full-service truckload transportation and logistics support throughout the United States. Orbcomm’s end-to-end solution will provide wireless connectivity and a web-based reporting platform for fleet management.

L.J. Rogers is using Orbcomm’s ruggedized telematics system, which is self-powered with solar recharging technology for low power consumption and long service life. Orbcomm’s solution includes a web application with data reporting and analytics capabilities to increase in-transit visibility and security of L.J. Rogers’ dry van trailers. The satellite operator’s telematics solution also integrates with the McLeod LoadMaster dispatch software platform, enabling the capture of near-real-time asset data, including operational condition, exception reporting and GPS position, through one system. L.J. Rogers expects to complete deployment of Orbcomm’s solution by the second quarter of 2017.
