Eutelsat Signs Two Satellite Beams to Vizocom

[Via Satellite 10-02-2014] Eutelsat has entered an agreement with new customer Vizocom for capacity on the Eutelsat 21B satellite. Vizocom will be using two of Eutelsat’s high power service areas to provide connectivity at speeds between 6 and 10 Mbps across the Middle East and Africa.

Vizocom has plans to use the capacity for its AfricAsia Satellite Services, which provides Internet access, Voice Over IP (VOIP) and other services to in Iraq, Oman, Saudi Arabia, Libya, Mali, Egypt, Liberia, Djibouti and Afghanistan. AfricAsia Satellite Services support the Bangladesh Army (BDA) Peacekeeping Forces in Mali for a United Nations Multidimensional Integrated Stabilization Mission. Vizocom has several Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) and oil and gas customers.
