[Satellite TODAY 06-05-12] KVH Industries is now offering its mini-VSAT Broadband service and TracPhone satellite communications terminals to maritime customers throughout South America, the company announced June 4.

KVH will offer the services through Tesacom, an MSS service provider in South America. The company said that Andesat would manage the new partnership with Tesacom, which will offer KVH solutions to offshore commercial fishermen and oil and gas operators from its offices in Argentina, Chile, Paraguay, Uruguay, Panama and Peru.
The partners also will offer service to inland waterway vessels working on the Paraná River.
“KVH’s mini-VSAT Broadband service will allow us to offer an attractive and affordable broadband service to meet the growing connectivity needs of our diverse maritime customer base," Tesacom CEO Jose Antonio Sanchez Elia said in a statement. “With the mini-VSAT Broadband service, we will be able to provide a proven solution with small antennas, fast data rates and global coverage that will work well for both large and small vessels, completing our broad offering of solutions.”
