Avanti Set to Expand Broadband Reach in the United Kingdom

[Satellite TODAY 12-07-11] Avanti Communications has won a new satellite broadband contract in the United Kingdom worth £5 million ($7.82 million), the company announced Dec. 6.
Avanti won the contract from the Regional Growth Fund (RGF), and relates to the expansion of Avanti’s broadband infrastructure and activities in Cornwall in the south west part of the United Kingdom.
The RGF is a £1.4 billion ($2.19 billion) fund operating across England from 2011 to 2014. It supports projects and programs that lever private sector investment creating economic growth and sustainable employment.
