Marlink Hooks Up New Deal with Odfjell Management

[Satellite TODAY 11-29-11] Marlink will supply its WaveCall VSAT systems for installation aboard 40 vessels to Odfjell Management, a major shipping company that owns and operates a global fleet of chemical tankers for the transportation of special products, the company announced Nov. 28.
WaveCall installations will commence on nine vessels later this year, with the remaining installations to be carried out in 2012. Each vessel sailing with WaveCall will have access to four simultaneous voice lines and three LANs for crew retention and administrative purposes, including Internet web access and crew calling functionality.
