C-Com Sees iNetVu Antenna Order Increase in Various Regions

By Jeffrey Hill | November 18, 2011
[Satellite TODAY 11-18-11] Ottawa-based antenna supplier C-Com Satellite Systems has received approximately $2 million in new orders for its iNetVu mobile antenna products from unnamed customers in Russia, Europe and the Middle East, the company announced earlier this week.
The iNetVu mobile antennas will be used for emergency and disaster management as well as for security in the region. The recent orders, which are in addition to the $1.5 million in Russian sales previously announced in August, include the company’s new rapid-deployable Airline Checkable and Flyaway iNetVu antenna systems.
In a statement, C-Com President and CEO Leslie Klein said he expects the majority of revenue from these orders to be booked in the fourth quarter of 2011. “We are also seeing a resurgence of new orders from the MENA region, where C-Com has a number of active resellers who have been selling our products to the oil and gas industry and to the military.”
Separately, C-Com announced it completed delivering the final balance of an iNetVu mobile antenna order to one of its Asian resellers. The contract, worth a total of $2.3 million, was announced in its last fiscal year, but could not be finalized until the 2011 third quarter due to customer requested delays, C-Com said.
