[Satellite TODAY 09-16-11] Vizada Networks has launched connectivity services from its new iDirect hub on the SES World Skies NSS12 satellite for customers in Tanzania and the East Coast of Africa, Vizada announced Sept. 15.
The new Viznet Dynamic Africa Ku-band services are primarily aimed at organizations and businesses having branches in the Eastern Africa region that want to directly connect to Dar es Salaam or other major cities in East Africa. Using iDirect DVB-S2/ACM satellite technology, Viznet Dynamic was designed to enable secure, reliable broadband connectivity regardless of location or local environment. The new iDirect hub in Tanzania also offers dual redundant connectivity through direct connection to subsea cables.
“With our new infrastructure in place, we really can offer a level of service and availability not before seen in Tanzania and the East Coast of Africa and believe that businesses and organizations in the region will be keen to try it for themselves,” Vizada Networks CEO Stefano Vittor said in a statement.
